Reading Academy

Professional development...

Most meaningful when it takes place over an extended period of time
with the opportunity for guided practice

Reading First requires that teachers participate in the New York
       State Voyager U's Reading Academy

Reading coaches support the learning process through group
meetings that occur over the course of the school year

By the end of the year teachers will have completed 80 hours of
professional development related to scientifically based reading
      research practice
